Ingredients
- 500g pork (or beef), cubed
- 1/2 cup flour + 1/2 cup cornstarch, for coating
- 1 egg
- Oil, for frying
- 1 cup pineapple chunks
- Bell pepper, diced, and onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup white vinegar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 tbsp ketchup or tomato paste
How to make it
- Dip the meat cubes in the beaten egg, then coat them in the flour and cornstarch mixture.
- Heat the oil and fry the meat until golden and crisp; drain on paper towels.
- In another pan, stir-fry the bell pepper, onion and pineapple for 2 minutes.
- Mix the vinegar, sugar and ketchup in a bowl and simmer with the vegetables until thickened.
- Add the crispy meat to the sauce and toss quickly so it stays crunchy.
- Serve immediately with hot white rice.
